Fish fry was pretty good. Salad and soup bar is great. Long waits on Friday nights. The trick is to hopefully snag a bar area table as one becomes available. (You can only use the bar area tables on Fridays and Saturdays if you are ordering dinner).

We didn’t realize your need reservations on a Friday or Saturday night but we were able to be seated at a table near the bar area. Food was good, waitress was great and a nice atmosphere.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our River District hotel desk staff. I'm so glad we decided to go. The food was so delicious and my husband had the astronaut punch cocktail. I had the chopped steak with candied yams. Amazing! I have Celiac disease and was worried their menu wouldn't have many options for me but I had no issue finding something good. I highly encourage making a reservation (their website says this too) if you can. Since we came in from Madison and didn't know we were going there until 5:00pm we grabbed some open chairs at the bar (more like the edge of a half wall so it was an awkward position to eat) and ordered and ate there. Which was fine but a table would have been way more comfortable. We would definitely return if we ever go back to Prairie du Chein.

We came for our anniversary and we're so delighted with our choice coming here. The food was amazing. Our server was top notch and attentive.

Absolutely loved this place! We went for my birthday dinner. Wonderful supper club type atmosphere with candles on tables. Salad bar, fresh rolls with real butter! I had walleye which was delicious! They gave me a piece of homemade cheesecake for dessert for my birthday, it was amazing. We didn't have any alcoholic drinks, our bill was only $44 for an amazing meal! Highly recommend reservations as this was a Wednesday evening at 5 and they were booked, the owner squeezed us in!
